Vijay is better than Ajit daa. Ajith is awful to watch. He can't act at all. But I guess its a personal opinion. I hate both. But hate Ajith more.

Hey Suresh, that so called uplifting music prior to romantic encounter resembles much more close to the song "Santhana thendralil" from KANDUKONDAEN KANDUKONDAEN. May be you can say AR Rehman has already lifted that uplifting bit and this one in pokiri is franchised stuff...! lol

@ Subhash - I know, that's what I said too. Ajith should get back to his "enakku onnum theriyadhu" ammanji characters and cut the BS, trying to emulate Vijay.

@ Prabu - dheivame, thanks! I knew I didn't get the exact song, so mandaya pichukittu irundhen. You're right, this song is really close to 'Sandhana Thendralai' and 'Made in India'. Except for the last bit (the second part that I matched).

Pokkiri was mega crap in telugu. I am sick of my friends who talk about it in glowing terms.

In the last 10 years, I can count around 10 films in telugu which are really good, may be less. And I have seen most of them. enna panradu.

Right now, tamil films are also losing standards. With films like veyil and VV being talked as classics. Some offbeat hindi films are the best choice for sensible entertainment now.

Subhash,
You're right. Tamil movies' standard has hit an all time low in the last 3 years and it's not showing any of improvement. One of the simple reasons is the dearth of good actors we have. Tamils can no longer use the false rhetoric that Hindi movie are far worse than Tamil. This claim was true for a very brief period the early-mid 90s (the late 90s at best). Since 2001-03 Hindi films have a consistent amount of international quality films. And 2006 was total washout. Dor, Khosla ka Ghosla, Omkara, Kabul Express etc. I mean, Tamils better learn to hang their head in shame when the movie comparison topic creeps in. Hindi movies, if nothing, has extremely disciplined and talented actors.

You are right. Tamil Cinema has lost its shine. There was a time when music, comedy and storyline was much better than Hindi cinema. Not any more. Comedy has become vulgar, music awful, and most stories always bordering on violent themes ..and yes, thala Ajith has hit all time low with Aalwar. Why does he not think before he accepts the script offered to him?
